Migration processes are complex phenomena influenced by a multitude of factors, including historical events, economic policies, environmental changes, and socio-political dynamics. In the context of Uzbekistan, a Central Asian nation with a rich and tumultuous history, migration patterns have been significantly shaped by various historical epochs, from the colonial era under the Russian Empire to the Soviet period, and into the post-Soviet era.
This paper aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of how these historical events have influenced migration crises in Uzbekistan, examining the colonial policies of the Russian Empire, Soviet-era transformations, the impact of World War II, post-Soviet economic reforms, and environmental catastrophes such as the Aral Sea crisis.
