FACTORS AFFECTING VOCABULARY LEARNING STRATEGY USE

Abstract

It is not a secret that English is the most widely used language in the world.
It is the main means of communication internationally in economy, trade, science,
media and the internet. The importance of English today underscores the importance of its
vocabulary learning strategies. Knowing VLSs allows them to become more successful
learners and enables them to have a higher level of language proficiency by using VLSs
items in the learning process. Many studies in the area of VLS have pointed out that there
are several factors causing differences in choices and use of learners' VLS.
