THE USE OF PLOT TEXTS IN TEACHING READING IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE LESSONS
This article discusses the method of plot in improving reading skill. It can be described as the plot is the underlying material of the text, the plot is what is made of this material and how it is reflected in the text. In continuous-plot texts, the development of the topic is not interrupted by author's digressions and is minimally provided with background information. In discontinuous plot texts, the development of the plot is interspersed with background information and author's digressions
