METHOD OF INITIATING GROUP-WORK ASSIGNMENTS IN ENGLISH LESSONS

Abstract

In this article I am going to give my practical suggestions on how to use initiating group-work tasks in English lessons at academic lyceum and at secondary schools. As I observe my own and my colleagues’ classes, students remember and learn the new theme better when they are assigned to do activities in a small group. In a group, students can have discussions and debates or even quarrels that lead them go into the theme deeper and as a result better comprehension and more sophisticated achievements are expected.
